Claire was born on July 25th at 11:23 p.m. She weighed 7 lbs 14 oz and was 20 1/2 inches long.
After walking around the mall, I had thought that maybe my water had broken....I called my friend Mandi (who is a L&D nurse) and she advised me that I should go and get it checked out...To my surprise my water had indeed broken and we were checked into the hospital at 7:15 that evening. After getting in our room and getting situated my nurse hooked us up with a Jacuzzi bath. I was only 3 cm dilated so I thought we had plenty of time (9:30 p.m.). After only twenty minutes in the tub, my contractions were on top of each other, and after about an hour of contractions I was 9 1/2 centimeters....we had just enough time to get an epidural and have a baby!
Claire is as healthy as can be with a head FULL of dark curly hair:)
