Our Week

So this week we got to spend a lot of time outside. Luke is not a big fan of the heat...He loves being sans shirt, just like his dad. We went to a water park today (the same one we'll go again tomorrow Lori;)). Luke loved being in the water and being able to crawl everywhere!
Here is also a picture of daddy painstakingly painting Maren's toes...She was so proud that daddy didn't spill!!!
This week Maren is into ryhming...Its not just, I need a brush... It's "I need a brush, rush, kush, dush" As a teacher, I am very proud of her rhyming ability, but as a mom I am a little worried about some of the words she is creating...You can only imagine some of the words that rhyme with the most simplest beginnings....
Big word of the week from Maren: affection....She told me that she thought I needed some today...Gladly, I took it:)

Last, Luke likes spaghetti...Can you tell?!?

Fathers day

One picture pretty much sums it up! We made

breakfast with Grandma and Grandpa then we spent the day together watching Tiger come out of nowhere.....Go Rocco!!!

Maren's Recital

Click Here to watch the video....

Ahhh, we tried so hard to zoom up to where she was and have it come out crystal clear...Unfortunately, camera's have their limits in the dark and this was the best we could come up with. We are still working on getting the movie up here though...More to come hopefully:)

We were so proud of her today! Brian and I could just tell how hard she was working to remember her steps;) We were so afraid before the program that she would get scared.....But I have to say, she loved every minute of it and we are already looking forward to next year! She wore her costume pretty much all day. Only after playing at the playground with grandpa and working up a sweat did she decide that the tights were too hot! It was a long day for her, but she still woke up this morning asking if she got to go to the recital again today.....

Standing up, recital practice and making the most of a rainy day!

We've had some rainy weather lately and we are trying to make the most of it! Luke is crawling everywhere, pulling himself up on anything that he thinks is sturdy enough, and has earned a new nickname. Remember The Flinstones? We have an adorable little pebbles that is so sweet and gentle...Then we also have our "Bam Bam"...That is what we are calling him these days. He is all boy, and even Maren's sweet little babies, barbies, etc. get their poor little plastic bodies slammed on every hard surface in our house. I am not so sure this is something he is going to grow out of...Still, it is pretty cute and he gets a kick out of the noise it makes:)

Maren had her dress rehersal for her recital this morning. We got to put on makeup and everything. She was up with the birds this morning ready to go!!! Soo cute, but just wait until the real recital. I think I am more excited than she is:)
