Bunk Beds

After months of sleeping on a mattress on the floor, we decided Luke was ready for a real bed. He is such a little wiggly sleeper we have been putting it off so we don't have to wake up to find he has fallen off a bed! But the time has come, and frankly, we were a little embarrased when we had guests over and Luke's bed was bigger than theirs (He was sittin pretty with a queen size mattress). Luke loves his power tools!

Trying it out. Just so you know, we've hidden the ladder to get up to the top bunk...I think we'll bring it out when he's about 10.

Maren couldn't resist....It looked like way too much fun. In fact, she has been wanting to sleep with him every night since!

Snow, Acquarium, Bikes (Catching up)

What is this stuff!!! This is Luke's first real snow sighting that he was actually able to enjoy and play in. At first he was pretty skeptical!Loving it!
Catching snowflakes on her tongue.

Luke eating the snowman's head.
Our ghetto sled (The lid of a plastic bin). It works!

We took a day trip over to Newport to watch the wild waves and go to the Oregon Coast Aquarium last week. It was our first time there and it was pretty cool! Can you believe Maren touched the fish!?! I thought I was going to have a heart attack just being in the room with them! Giant Starfish

Inside the tube aquarium...Luke was amazed!
Hopefully this is the closest that Brian will ever be to a shark!
Crazy waves that day! It was beautiful!

It took Luke all of two seconds to become a pro on his new little bike. He loves to go for a ride, hop off and inspect the wheels, say "All Fixed!" and then hop on again...Over and over.
Maren loves having a riding buddy.

Seattle

After opening presents and spending some time with Grandma and Grandpa MacDonald we headed outside to try out Luke's new toy:)
On Saturday we took advantage of a beautiful day in Seattle and took the ferry out to Port Orchard. It was amazing! Luke is still talking about the boat;)

What a great weekend! We just feel so blessed to have had such an amazing Christmas.

Christmas Morning

What a magical morning this was! The kids were thrilled and Brian and I just loved watching them.Luke instantly started riding around the house.
Yep! He came!

This was the reaction to EVERY present:) Complete joy!

After opening presents, we scrambled about packing up our favorites and hopped in the car for Christmas in Seattle!

Christmas Eve

I am not sure how these kids sat through church! Maren was so excited and Luke was just picking up off of Maren's mood:)

Cookies For Santa

Zoo Lights

It was a little chilly, but the lights were amazing and made the trip worth it! It looks almost like it was snowing, but it was just some really thick fog;)
