Memorial Weekend

Such fun...We got a few bits of sunshine and got to enjoy GP's finest....The Boatnik Parade. Maren LOVED all the candy from the parade, all the entertaining floats, and the carnival afterward. She went on three rides that I don't even think her dad would have gone on!
Luke spent lots of time in the stroller, but nevertheless...loved being outside:) He also got to spend some bonding time with his new cousin Owen:)

Do Princesses Ride Scooters?

I don't know if you've ever read this book, but it is a favorite in our house (thanks grandma) and as you can see...apparently, this one does!!!

Swimming

We have had a great weekend enjoying the sunshine and swimming in our new "party pool". Even though the water was freezing, Maren swam most of yesterday and today. We tried to keep Luke in his baby pool, but he is not one who likes to miss out on the party!

This week we've enjoyed watching Luke crawl everywhere! There is nothing that he isn't curious about, or doesn't want to take a bite of.

Maren got to go to Mommy's school on Friday night and play with all the crazy girls (they were having a sleepover in the Library). We left (unwillingly on her part) at around 10:00p.m. and I had to reassure her that as soon as she is big enough she can sleep over too! She did get to get punk-rock hair and makeup done just like the big girls though. She woke up this morning and when Brian asked her what she wanted to watch on TV, she said "I want to watch a Punk-Rock movie"....Yikes! What did I do!?!?

Our Garden

We planted some tomatoes and strawberries today. Maren loved helping out with her new shovel and gloves:) Luke also had a good time getting a little sunshine. Doesn't he look so grown up in his shorts and short sleeve shirt!!

Some Sunshine!

We took advantage of some sunshine yesterday and walked to the park. Maren walked the whole way home (up the hill and everything)! I was ever so grateful because pushing that stroller up the hill is no easy task:) These kids are getting heavy!

Wow! A lot can change in two weeks!!

For starters, Maren and Luke have a new cousin! Owen Hagerman was born on April 13th. He is absolutely adorable and Uncle Ben and Amber are such proud parents:)

As you can see from the pictures, Luke has also reached some milestones these last few weeks. He now has four teeth! He is also doing something that I would describe as an army crawl. He can get anywhere he needs to go by dragging his feet and using his elbows to scoot around. He is also a champion roller:) He is also standing on his own (propped up of course). Maren is loving having her very own "baby" to play with that can actually play with her too. So far, Luke is a pretty good sport about it, but I don't think he is going to wear the crown for her for too much longer;)
