Weekend in Seattle

The kids had a great time up in Seattle last weekend while we were gone. Here was the "highlight" according to Maren:)

Funny, I had to convince Brian all weekend that he wasn't supposed to call me "Mom" on our weekend away...Finally on Saturday, when we were supposed to go home, he started calling me Amie again. I suddenly missed being called "Mom" though and needed to come home. Vegas was great though....and appreciated 100%!!!! I love you "Dad"!!

Our Week

What fun we've had with this sunny weather! We are all just soaking it up!!!

The first picture here is of Maren coloring...This was so amazing to me. She colored one side of the picture and was SO PROUD of it, that she (all by herself) decided that she would take it up to the window to trace the backside in order to color it again!! I was so impressed!

Barbeque's....sigh....I missed them over the long winter!!! Summer couldn't be more appreciated!!!

Birthday party at Westside dance. So cool, will have to look into a camp this summer!

Easter Weekend

Grandpa and Grandma came into town for the weekend to spend some time with us and for Easter. Here we are at the tulip festival....Not a whole lot of tulips yet, but with a little sunshine we saw how beautiful it is going to be.

We had to have our easter egg hunt inside this year because of the rain. Maren had a great time looking for eggs and lucky for her Luke wanted no part of it. He was happy just sitting on the floor eating jellybeans:)

such a fun stage right now. They play together for the most part really well. There are also times though that Luke likes to get a bit rough. We are teaching Maren how to be more aggressive and fight back (Is it bad that we are teaching our daughter to fight with our son?). If Luke pulls her hair we tell her to pull his hair right back. She won't do it though....She just takes it and SCREAMS:)

Her Serious Mad at Mommy Face. I wasn't laughing AT her, just laughing because she was being so darn cute. She didn't quite get it.

Sunshine=Happy!!!

Just the smell of sunscreen has the ability to put a smile on my face....add in popscicles, water and friends and it doesn't get any better!

Still cold in the morning though...This was Luke and Maren on Sunday morning (it was only 41 at 7:00) looking outside and waiting until they could go and play.
